Yellowstone Prequel “1923” Films Outside Archies in San Antonio

As proud Texans, we’re huge fans of Western shows over here at Archies Fine Coffee. 1923, Taylor Sheridan’s prequel to the hit series Yellowstone, happens to be one of our favorites. We were so excited to see Hollywood take over several blocks of downtown San Antonio to film season two recently — right in front of our downtown location on Broadway! 

The debut season was filmed in Butte, Montana (where the show is set), but the Austin Business Journal reported that season two would be moving over to ATX Studios in Austin, Texas back in May. The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture worked to bring the production to our town. We’re so proud to be a part of this growing and thriving San Antonio community!

While Paramount+ has not officially announced a release date, season two is expected to come out in early 2025. Keep an eye out for the show’s premiere — and keep your eyes peeled for an Archies Fine Coffee cameo in the background!
